This command safely removes and ejects removable media, such as RDX cartridges or USB drives. After a backup has been completed, ejecting the RDX medium helps protect the backup from later access by malware, unwanted scripts, cryptolockers or ransomware. Once the medium has been ejected, it is no longer available as a normal writable drive in Windows.
Z-DBackup includes a built-in function to automatically eject RDX cartridges after a backup has finished. For other tasks, or when the eject process should be controlled separately, you can use this Z-Cron command to eject RDX media by schedule.
