The Z-Cron command CHECKPOINT is used to automatically set Windows System Restore Points on the local computer.
Having automatical Restore Points can be useful as an addition to existing backup strategies.
In combination with the STARTREMOTE command, these commands can also be executed on a remote computer in the local network. Z-Cron must be installed on both the target computer and the computer which issues the command.
Restore Files with Z-VSScopy Freeware With our software Z-VSScopy you can back up all files, even those that are currently open in Windows or are being written by a running application. Z-VSScopy uses the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS), a technology integrated in Windows, to create complete and consistent Backups.
The program can be used as an add-on module for Z-DBackup and Z-DATdump, but it is also be started as a stand-alone application.
It displays all existing restore points and snapshots (shadow copies) on the system and offers functionality to view their contents in a simple Explorer-like interface, delete snapshots and create new ones. If necessary, single files can be copied from the snapshot to any location on the computer.
