Start Z-Cron jobs from other devices in your home network
Z-Cron comes with a web app and a simple web server, to be able to start Z-Cron jobs from any smartphone, tablet or computer within your home network.
If Z-Cron runs on a PC connected to the home network, you can open the web app on any device with a current internet browser. Up to eight Z-Cron jobs can be started manually and independent of the jobs schedule with this web app.
Button 1 - 8: Enter the names for the buttons. These names will be displayed on the buttons in the web app.
Job-Nr.: Enter the number of the Z-Cron job you want to start with the corresponding button.
WEB-Interface: If this option is activated, the web app will be accessable under the listed IP number and port.
The displayed IP number is the local IP number of the computer Z-Cron is running.
Port: The Port under which the web app can be accessed. The default port 80 usually doesn't have to be changed unless there is another web server running on your system.
The web app
To access the web app in the browser of your smartphone, tablet or computer, you have to enter the IP number and where necessary the port in the adress bar of your browser. On iPhones and Android phones the web app can be added to the home screen of your device by using the "add to homescreen" feature of Safari on iPhones of Chrome on Android. This way you can open the web app just like a normal app, without having to open the browser first.
By clicking on the Z-Cron symbol or swiping right you can open the info bar on the left.
Access the web app in browser - Example:
The local IP number of your computer is: 192.168.174.34
Port: 80
Access by typing: http://192.168.174.34
(the port doesn't have to be included)
If the port isn't the default port 80 but 81 for example.
Access by typing:: http://192.168.174.34:81
(the port has to be included)
All current browsers are supported. In Internet Explorer 9 or below the info bar isn't supported.
