OPEN / SHOW
The Z-Cron command OPEN or SHOW is used for opening files.
It can be used to open any file for which a suitable application is installed and registered. The file is always opened with the program set as the default program for this type of file.
This command lets you start presentations or videos, open documents, etc...
PLAY
This command can be used to start multimedia files and does basically the same as OPEN. The music oder video files are played back using the default program for the type of file. If you have VLC-Player installed for example, you can playback any file supported by this media player.
