Using command line parameters it is possible to provide options or commands to the program which will be executed at program start. The parameters have to be separated by space characters. Alternatively you can use the button ... next to the parameter line for selecting default values.

The following parameters are available

-b nr

Loads the specified backup set and starts the data backup. After backup is completed successfully, the program will be closed. Examples:

 -b 1     (Backup set No. 1 will automatically be started)

 -b 5     (Backup set No. 5 will automatically be started)7

 

-d dd.mm.yyyy

Backup only files not older than the specified date. For example:

  -b1  -d 09.09.20037

 

-v

Full backup with a differential backup set. If backup set No. 3 has been created as a differential backup set, you might use for example:

Monday

 -b 3 

Tuesday

 -b 3 

Wednesday

 -b 3 

Thursday

 -b 3 

Friday

 -b 3  -v

 

-s

Shut down computer after backup is completed. For example:

 -b 1 -s

 

 -t

 Z-DBackup will be started minimized to the system tray. For example:

 -b 1 -t


 

Notice: In the standard version of Z-DBackup the calling of linked backups from the command line is deactivated. That means that always just the called backup set will be started! Calls using the parameters -d and -v are only available in the Z-DBackup professional version!
