 Tape drives are sequential devices, i.e. only one application can access the drive at a time.
For that reason, some backup programs lock the tape drive already at the start of the operating system and thereby secure their exlusive use. Therefore, take care if other programs or services are installed which block Z-TapeBackup from using the drive.
